Don't know your destiny? Change your direction and find out.
For many, the idea that they have a direct influence on their destiny can feel overwhelming; almost debilitating. It's not as complicated as you might think, though.
You see, changing your destiny doesn't require taking massive actions all of the time. All that your destiny asks of you is that you change one thing when you begin to form a relationship with it.
Your destiny asks you to change your decisions, so that you can change not only the way you look at things but also what path you choose to travel on. Decisions parent every action. And, every action changes your direction. Decisions are made every moment of our lives; even if we tell ourselves that we aren't making a decision.
What we tell ourselves about who we are and the world in which we live has a huge impact on how we move through our lives. If you tell yourself that you are powerless to change your life, you will remain powerless. If you take a leap of faith and do something differently, then you have won half the battle.
Jim Rohn says, "You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight."
It takes one decision to change the course of your life. You might think that I am talking about making massive decisions. I'm not. What I am talking about is making conscious decisions that lead you to your desired outcomes.
Decisions can be scary to make- especially if you aren't confident in the decisions that you have made in the past. What matters is that you learn from your past decisions so that you can make better, more informed decisions now and in the future. Being scared is just part of growing and learning.
You don't have to be free of fear, you just need to have less fear to make those decisions. It's true, you can't influence your destination overnight. Rarely does anyone become an overnight sensation or loose 20 pounds with a snap of a finger. There is always strategy and work done behind the scenes for long periods of time to reach the point of overnight success.
Change your direction and change your destiny. Talk to yourself differently. Change one habit, today and notice what opportunities show up. Choose something more prosperous to focus on and notice how you feel when you focus on something positive instead of negative. That's it.
Your destiny is waiting for you to claim it. With each decision and direction change, you can achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve. If you have trouble making decisions, the just make one and move forward. You will become more confident and will learn that trusting your gut instinct works out for you 100% of the time, even if you have no immediate evidence of it.
Change your direction by changing your decisions, one step at a time. Your destiny will thank you.
